VENICE, 6 June 2019: Artist Talk with Corso Curatori

I was pleased to deliver an artist’s talk with a group of emerging international curators representing dozens of pockets around the globe! Corso Curatori, or Venice’s School for Curatorial Studies, is committed to experimentation and interdisciplinary thinking with its main goals of spreading knowledge in the visual arts and introducing students to the professions of the art world, focusing on contemporary curatorial theory and museology. We met towards the beginning of their summer in Venice at the inspiring cultural venue of the Conservatorio di Musica Benedetto Marcello di Venezia, which was concurrently hosting the Parasol Unit’s Venice exhibition, collateral to the Biennale.

More updates on the content of the talk as well as a recording will be shared soon! I really enjoyed the questions of the emerging curators with global perspectives, as we had a fruitful exchange of ideas. —G.D.
